For nearly a decade, Trainual has helped tens of thousands of businesses document their playbooks, clarifying who does what and how it gets done. With Uptick, Trainual is expanding that foundation to include how people are performing in their roles.

The Origin of the Opportunity

The idea for the acquisition began when Jonathan Ronzio, Trainual’s CMO and Co-Founder, came across Uptick while exploring new product extension opportunities.

“For years, our customers told us they wanted a better way to manage goals, meetings, and accountability,” said Jonathan. “When I found Uptick, I saw a perfect fit. It was a thoughtful product that had early traction but needed the kind of momentum Trainual could provide. It just clicked.”

The Uptick founders were seeking a path forward, and Trainual saw the chance to integrate performance management directly into its growing HR operating system vision.
