Not understanding what the organization needs from reviews is a problem. But you also need to know what your team member needs in a review. In this episode Chris shares that it reviews don’t need to serve one of the other, but can serve the team member, the manager and the organization.

Show Notes:

Sometimes performance reviews seem void of any meaningful purpose. Why do we do them? Compliance? Professional development? Performance improvement? And are they supposed to serve the company, the team member of the manager? In this episode Chris suggests that “all of the above” is a reasonable answer and can bring new purpose to performance reviews.
